Plantar Fasciitis is characterised by tenderness and pain on the bottom of the heel, which may radiate into the middle of the foot.
It is typically worse first thing in the morning with the first few steps being potentially very painful. Plantar Fasciitis is typically aggrevated by any standing activity, particularly on harder surfaces ie concrete or tile.
Icing, plantar fascia mobilisation, overnight foot positioning and unloading orthoses have shown to be effective in managing the symptoms of plantar fascia.
