Patello-Femoral, or Knee Cap, pain is an extremely common problem affecting many athletes.
It is typcally charectetrised by pain at the front of the knee, under the knee cap. It is often made worse with going down stairs or squatting or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Historically it has been called "movie-goers" knee. Occasionally there may be a grizzling sound under the knee cap, like sand in the joint.
